The Leslee Bracelet

IMG_5310Last year, I won a prize of a whole ton of beads.  I signed up on a blog that was having a drawing and I won!  So exciting.  When I received the package, I was overwhelmed by how much was in it.  It tripled the size of my jewelry stock.  But, I was concerned I wouldn’t know what to do with it all.

The prize was loaded with colors and items I would never have chosen myself.  I tend towards blues, pinks, seed beads, etc.  Anyway, I was then challenged by how to use the stuff.

The first result was a bracelet I made for Leslee’s birthday.  I thought the colors would look amazing against her alabaster skin.  And I was right.  She looked beautiful in it.  She loved it.  And she said that her husband loved it as well.

That was the first time I ever worked with all metal and wire in the structure of a piece.  I was very happy with the way it turned out.

I was so happy, I made another one and put it into my Etsy shop, BeadingMaya.  Check it out.
